Like all the sites on this blog, USA Learns is a free website. However, you will need to register. Once in, you can watch videos to help with your listening skills and learn new vocabulary words.
It is important that we listen to English often so we learn new vocabulary and hear words correctly pronounced and hear good grammar. We Speak NYC has many interesting videos you can watch. Plus, there are scripts you can read along with as you listen.
Ventures Arcade is a great way for ELA students to practice what we are doing in class with vocabulary, grammar, reading, writing, and life skills (AKA CASAS skills). You do need FLASH for this program.
